Tasha went to high school in Germany but goes to college in Virginia. As a competitive athlete in Germany, she’d had multiple knee injuries including 2 ACL replacements.
While she was in college, she continued to have problems with her knee, which led her to search for answers. After doctors in North Carolina and Virginia said her case was too complicated, she went back to her doctor in Germany. He recommended she go to the UPMC Center for Sports Medicine to be treated by Freddie Fu, MD, and his team.
Tasha says the 9-hour drive from Virginia to Pittsburgh is worth it. She’s still doing physical therapy, and she’s happy to be able to walk and go about her daily life.
